There were five replies and one other related post that went to the
listserve. I won't repeat those here.

Here are the replies I received directly. All except the last are verbatim.
The last one is shortened to just give the pertinent parts of the reply.

And, of course the List Owners have also made their stance clear in a
seperate message. For now, it seems that the question is to be considered
off topic, as decided by the listowners.

Two things I would like to say. One, is that the idea of reply privately
and let the orignal poster summarize seems to have failed here. I do not
know why, but it may be part of why the subject is now taboo for this list.

Second, I only am summarizing to satisfy those who wonder what the private
replies were, not to resurrect the topic. I did ask Michael Jones whether
I should, and he responded that only if it were appropriate from a celiac
point of view. I do feel that as a celiac the question of what is on topic
to this list is appropriate. I also feel that there is some large majority
of those on this list that only read, never post. For those of us that do
not post very often, or never there is a question of what position to
take when we see, as Henry David Thoreau put it, a trout in the milk.

Thanks,
 Mike Barushok

Bravo - well stated!

Right on target, Mike!

well put......
thank you

You are so very right, I just hope celiacs don't jeopardize their bodies furthur
by falling for these quick fixes. I believe all people with celiac have
allergies and many are helped by going gf.

I agree with you.. I live in Florida and the NAET people are located where
the RICH retired people are!! The snake oil of 1999!

...Although I understand your concern, I think there's a bigger picture
here that many Celiacs who recover easily on a GF diet do not understand.
...So, to try and help with these allergies, I am trying NAET. I don't even
care if it doesn't eliminate gluten. I would just be happy to not have the
other food allergies.

Good for you, Mike. I'm trying to get listserv to not allow any more
discussion on NAET just because of the newly diagnosed celiacs and people
looking for a silver bullet to "cure" their condition. Telling people
they can eat all the wheat and gluten they want after the treatments is
irresponsible.
