Hi, my 8 year old son has been feeling great on a gluten free diet and then had accidental ingestion last week. He had the expected digestive problems about 20 hours later (they last about 12 hours) but in addition, also developed a distinct veined lace like patterning over his entire body that dissipated four hours later. It was as if his skin had become semi translucent. He said it was not itchy but that the veins in his arm hurt. He also said it felt bumpy, even though I could feel no raised welts. The look of it made me nervous and I have not been able to find any reference to the condition anywhere on the internet. . Any of you familiar with this condition? If it is a gluten reaction it seems to suggest that his being gf has resulted in more extreme reactions during subsequent exposure
