<p.s. are there any celiacs out there who do not experience any symptoms
when they eat gluten but who, never the less, undergo the intestinal celia
destruction?>

YES. As a teenager, some 35 years ago, I was told I had an 'allergy' to
wheat, that's all. I've avoided it in it's blatant forms for all these
years, but did not avoid the other grains nor any of the hidden ingredients
in foods. Up until about two years ago, I experienced no physical problems
at all. I've just been diagnosed with CD, my celia are a mess, and so is the
rest of me. It took the onset of symptoms (actually, two years of sysmptoms)
for my doctor to suspect CD, but it was there all along.
