Northwest also informed me that they will not serve GF meals
to me during my Sydney-NewYork 20+ hour flight. grrrrrrr ...
In fact, said they had decided to cut back on the "special meals"
they offer to passengers.

James -- it is a long haul, but I do strongly recommend Australia.
Did a 5-day barrier reef cruise last year and the chef pampered
me silly .... even made me a personal pizza on PastaDay ...
and called to tell me he had a surprise, and to not avoid PastaDay
just cuz I'm celiac ...

And speaking of ... yes, it is a long trip for cookies and licorice,
but we were so enamored of Australia that we are heading back.
3-week trip [yay!] will include Alice Springs, Cairns, Adelaide,
Melbourne, Sydney. Any dining recommendations would be most
welcome.
