The bottom line is, it's safe to take supplements with a distilled
alcohol base.

Steve

------------------------------------

if you are referring to the alcohol in homeopathic remedies....it is ok
and safe.
Been using the for 30 years and, in fact, the homeopathic remedy
VETRATRUM ALB 30C,
is the one to take after a gluten ingestion..stops it cold!

-------------------------------------

To achieve higher concentrations of alcohol distillation is neccesary.
The product is
boiled so that only lighter molecules, such as alcohol, are turned into
vapor, while
heavier molecules such as gluten are left behind. The vapor is captured
and recondensed
(using some apparatus analogous to the auto radiators often shown in
pictures of
moonshine stills) to become whatever the end product is meant to be.

It doesn't matter what the starting material is: the distillation
product is GF. Rye,
scotch, etc. are all GF. Unless something glutenous is added after the
fact, of course.

Pure alcohol is made by carefully controlling the distillation process
and letting very
light molecules escape until the boiling point of alcohol is reached.
Then the alcohol,
and only the alcohol, is captured.

None of this is new. Anyone with a background in science has known that
vinegar and
alcohol are safe all along.......Even CSA, however, has now given in and
admitted that they
are safe.

--------------------------------------

by definition alcohol is distilled. Gluten does not carry over in the
distillation process. So it is GF. End of Proof.
