Hi all,

I began to answer all replies personally but I can't keep up, I have
gotten SO MANY Emails!!

I want to thank all of you who's replied, it has been/is very
interesting to read what you all have been experienced-the differences
between countries regarding Celiacs are huge.

After reading all of your replies I am even more amazed! The way you
have been treated is just awful!!!!!!!!!!!!! One person thought that
there won't be a change until a Celiac files a lawsuit, hope that's not
the case. I know it is very different in US/Canada to how it works here,
we don't file lawsuits as you do (thank god!) and things are getting
better and better here anyway........... Remember, we have rights to-and
we've got to make our voices heard otherwise things will never change!
So let's stop thinking we are making trouble and are annoying people
with our condition and our diet-demand to be treated as we ought to in
shope, hospitals, restaurants and other places!!!

Maybe I wasn't totally clear in my post....I didn't intend to make it
sound as Sweden is the Celiac paradise, but next to it :-) There are
many ignorant doctors here too, actually lots of them! But children with
gluten intolerance are getting lots of help and there are many great
childrens doctors and the situation is getting better and better for
adults.

The dietitians on the other hand is, as I said, very well educated as
other hospital staff and even people who are working in grocery stores.
It wasn't like this a couple of years ago, then it was very difficult to
get the right info and groceries. Now there seems to be new products for
us every other week-I love it!

I think the only thing there is to do to change the situation for the
better is to get together, many are strong! We are interesting from a
economic point of view, if the producers make new gf products-we buy
them! Here many big companies have changed their whole production to
suit the gf, lactose and soya free diets. For eg. we have a company
named Scan who make meat products, now all of their products are
lactose, gkuten and soyafree (except for a few wich can't be made
without it). Other companies are now following in their footsteps wich
makes life so much easier!

Again, thank's to all of you who has replied!

Take care and remember, "Together we are strong!"
