Thanks to everyone who replied. Here's the summary:

QUESTION: Does anyone know the gluten-free status of Wendy's new salads
and their salad dressings?

REPLIES:

Thats your problem, The ranch dressing has a Modified Food Starch, or
Food Starch in it. The Italian dressing is ok, as far as I know. I
usually have the grilled chicken salad with the Italian dressing. The
baked potatos are great too, as well as the frostie.

I had been told previously that none of their salad dressings were GF.

When eating a salad at Wendy's bring your own dressings. Otherwise the
salad's should be ok.

I don't know the status of the actual salad, but Wendy's ranch flavored
dressing has never been safe for us. I believe it is the Hidden Valley
Ranch brand and it is not gf.

Wendy's puts out a great list of ingredients - just ask for it at the
Wendy's store - lists all products and ingredients including condiments
and the salad bar.

I am always suspect of bacon or bacon substitutes unless I know the
source.

Today I spoke with customer reps. at both places. The guy from Wendys
said none of their salad dressings are on the gf list.
