The SnoCoCeliac Support Group will reconvene on May 9 (2nd Tuesday) at 7pm in
Conference Room A of the Group Health Northshore (Bothell) Clinic. For
directions, email or call me at 206-527-6678 ASAP. Here's our meeting agenda:

INTRODUCTIONS: Newcomers and Regular members.

NEW BUSINESS: 2006 CELIAC AWARENESS WALK AND FOOD FAIR: Save May 20 from 8am
until 12noon for the Celiac Awareness Walk around Greenlake and Gluten Free
Food Vendor Fair. Registration begins at 8am. Walk and GF food fair begins at
9am. Also consider forming walk teams to raise sponsor donation funds for celiac
awareness and research. WALK TEESHIRTS will be available. If you volunteered
to help with registration, I will call and/or email you during early May to
review registration procedures.

NEW CELIAC FRIENDLY RESTAURANT: Kaili (formerly of Kaili's Kitchen) recently
opened her new DA VINCI BAKERY & CAFÉ at 10003 Greenwood Ave. North in
Seattle. You can call 206-782-5735 to place orders for baked goods or visit for
breakfast, lunch or coffee with pastries. The café is a renovated house on the NW
corner of 100th and Greenwood Avenue North.

GF FREEBEES: Annie's Dressing samples will be available and also money off
coupons for Annie's Dressing retail purchases

DISCUSSION TOPIC: How to describe Celiac Disease to Non Celiacs. If you
attend the May 20 Celiac Awareness walk, you may need to explain CD to non-celiacs.
How do you explain CD? Consider what you would like to discuss at future
meetings. Would you like to invite speakers? Would you like to meet at a celiac
friendly restaurant one month? Would anyone like to discuss weighty (loss or
gain) issues at a meeting? Would anyone like to review celiac books or cookbooks?
What other ideas or topics would you like to explore during the rest of this
year?
