the first comment in the summary that hairspray is ok because it is not
absorbed by the skin is not accuate.  One can get a reaction from a
product containing gluten touching the skin [ex. shampoo, hair dyes,
etc, etc, etc] or just breathing it in.  Many of us have related walking
past a bakery or pizza parlor and getting a reaction.

Another thing to consider is the propellant....in most cases, it is
alchol, which may be wheat based.
