Hi Everyone,

Hope you are enjoying your summer. Soak in that Vitamin D for the upcoming
winter months!

STORES & RESTAURANTS NEWS
A fellow gluten-free comrade from "down south" (by Black Diamond, WA) wrote
to share some of the GF resources available in that neck of the woods, in
case you are traveling this summer. Thanks to Mikey for sharing the information!

In case you travel South, Nature's Market in Kent, WA is a fantastic place
to shop and purchase all sorts of GF items. They also have several GF Food
Festivals which allow you to taste their products. Just down the road from the
market is an incredible new GF Bakery called Haley's Bakery
_http://www.haleyscorner.com_ (http://www.haleyscorner.com) that has amazing pastries, cookies
& cakes. Sunny Valley Wheat Free is another bakery in Maple Valley that makes
some very tasty scones, amaranth chips and bread-like items.

Sojo Foods has frozen dinner entrees that are gluten-free. They are a local
company (Enumclaw, Washington) _www.sojofoods.com_ (http://www.sojofoods.com)
. They do sell some of their foods to some Fred Meyers, Top Foods, Whole
Foods and a Co-op in Bellingham. They are also open to direct buying.

The Basil Cafe in Bayview has an extensive GF menu. Be sure to check them
out!
The Mad Crab Restaurant in Coupeville has gluten-free menu items. Be sure to
ask!
Also Christopher's in Coupeville was able to make accommodations for special
needs, although I am not certain if a specific gluten-free menu is available.
Pilgrim's Vitamins store in Oak Harbor is now selling Dowd & Rogers cake
mixes made with Italian Chestnut Flour, plus the pure flour. Check them out for
their other gluten-free product lines.

thank Bob's Red Mill for supplying free product samples.

at the Basil Cafe in Bayview (at the Bayview Cash Store). Dinner will be

includes appetizer, main dish entrees, tea, and dessert. The menu items are all
gluten-free and dairy-free!

Spouses and significant others are welcome, but the buffet menu items are
the only ones available through our group dinner.

Coyla at 360-321-4083 for your reservation.

Please pass this email along to others who are gluten-free and have them
reply to [log in to unmask] (mailto:[log in to unmask]) to be included on
the email distribution list.
