Gluten free contains wheat. Now it says Wheat--

Unfortunately, now some things will fall between the crack since wheat-free
is not gluten-free. In the past chocolate shakes were NOT on the g.f. list
because malt was used in the natural flavoring, but are now listed on the
wheat-free list. Wheat-free is probably true, but I doubt they changed their
decade old recipe to eliminate the malt so it is still not safe for celiacs.

It is probably best to check the ingredient list, which is straight forward
for many items, instead of the allergen list & make decisions based on that.
If non-sourced term--natural flavoring, dextose are used, contact
McDonald's for further info or leave it out. If we create a demand, the
information we need will return.
