Dear Co-listers:

I am an argentine granny who has a ten-year-old granddaughter who has
been detected to have the celiac sprue when she was nine months old, so
we know things well.

I,m very happy now to have discovered so many interesting people and
news in this list.

The point is that in Argentina the celiac condition is but very
recently talked about.

I found some recipes in the list which seem quite easy and nice for
children, but the problem is that almost all of them need a certain
Xhantic Gum to paste toghether the different flours and it is not very
well known here.

Does anyone know something to replace it or any other name for it?
Thank you in advance Julia Otamendi, librarian Buenos Aires, Argentina
