The Celiac Disease Foundation and CSA/USA both say that spelt is a variety of
wheat, and has gluten, thus is unacceptable for a gluten free diet. By the
way, kamut is another wheat variety, and has gluten

I have heard it said some people who have allergies to wheat, as opposed to
gluten intolerance, can tolerate spelt....but I have never met such a
person...are any of you subscribers to the celiac list?
