In response to the price of food for everyone going up... as it is, i have to
pay $2.25 for a box of gf pasta. if i could eat wheat, this would cost me 60
cents. unfortunately, the ellimiation of my food allergies/intolerences has
not cured me,,, i am somewhat better, quite a lot, actually, but i am still
disabled. thus i cannot work and cannot afford such expensive food. i think
that if gf foods were to become more commercially available then the price
would go down and it wouldn't cost anyone else any more,, as they could still
by the 60 cent wheat pasta.
There should be laws governing foods more than there are now. the labeling,,
which allows for such things as "other ingredients",, should be better, and
there has to be education of restaurants, hospitals, schools, etc. It is
just the same as a diabetic, or any other allergy. It's not too much not to
poison someone deathly allergic to peanuts or mushrooms. it's the same with
Celiac. and as this society continues on its path of fast food, processed
food, and the multitudes of artificial chemicals, preservatives, colours,
flavorings, etc. there will be more and more people who have restrited diets.
Anyway. enough. Just had to have my say. Thank you for listening. and for
those of you who have already pressed that delete key <smile>.. well,.
