Hello,

I wanted to say that I have received so much wonderful advice in the
passed from the listserv. I would have not survived without this list.

I got very sick on Nov. 9, 2005 and had to go to the ER prior to this I
was not sick at all. I had some constipation and was tired, but I felt
normal. I went to the hospital with serve abdominal pain and vomiting,
because I could not go to the bathroom anymore. I ended up being very
anemia that is how they discovered the celiac.

Anyway since I have been on the gluten free diet I have felt horrible and
I was not sick before. I had positive blood work and a confirmed
endoscopy. I check everything with the manufacture even makeup,
prescriptions, shampoo, lotion, and do not eat out much. I have had 4
blood test since I have been on the gluten free diet and all are
negative. My last blood test was negative, but my iron was low again. I
also want to note that I got a new doctor, because I moved from FL to PA.
I question my doctor today on whether I could have been misdiagnosed.

He looked over my record from FL and said that I only had partial villous
atrophy and that my blood work is now negative and since the some other
level of my blood work is not low. I may not have celiac or the partial
villous atrophy showed early onset of celiac. My new doctor in PA said
that we could do another endoscopy to test for celiac, but I said I have
been gluten free for 16 months will the results be accurate. He said they
may not show the celiac. He then suggested that I eat gluten for the next
6 months and then do the endoscopy.

So, I did it I ate a 1/2 sandwich and a small donut and I do not feel
sick my tummy felt a little knotted at 1st, but it could have been my
nerves. It has been 3 hours and I do not notice a difference.

I never had any symptoms before that 1 day. I do not understand how I
have celiac. I have been following the diet and now feel sick. I have
been tested for diabetes, thyroid, and osteoporosis. I went to a
neurologist, had a colonoscopy, a small bowel series and so far everything
is good.

What should I do? I live in the Pittsburgh, PA area does anyone know of a
doctor that know a lot about celiac I will travel even fly. I just want
to feel well again. I really like my doctor and he cares a lot, but I
need a celiac specialist. Please help!!!
