I received one response to my request.  Here it is.

there is a Maggiannos's in Troy , they carry a gluten free pasta, their steaks 
and ceaser salad are also gluten free. There is an italian restaurant in Berkely 
called Amici's. They  make a gluten free pizza. Thers are also a few restaurant 
in Royal Oak that can accomadate the gluten free diet.

Thanks for the info Karyn.  We will be making good use of it in a couple of 
weeks.
