Celiac Explorers
 Saturday, October 15, 2005... 12:30 Pm (Browse & copy new info.....MEETING at 1:00 PM)
Good Samaritan Village Community Center, 17121 E - 8thAve,SpokaneValley

Our group is now listed as Resource Unit #3017 on the Celiac Sprue Association's Web site.(Omaha, NE). This information will also appear in their quarterly publications to members, the Lifeline. This association gathers information & publishes the Gluten-Free Product Listing which is so valuable when we are first diagnosed and need guidance in locating 'safe' products.

I am expecting we will also be listed in the Celiac Disease Foundation's quarterly Newsletter. (Studio City, CA) They do not currently list any contacts for Eastern Washington, Idaho or Montana on the Connections page. CDF is affiliated with Stanford University and Celiac Sprue Management Clinic there. Dr. Gail Pyle, of their staff is a Celiac. (<:)

Please welcome Wynn Myers, who has accepted the responsibility of secretary of our group. At this point, just the constant updating of e-mail and snail mail addresses is a challenge. Wynn has great skills from her years with an attorney and later, an agency in the state of Idaho.

Several members of the Explorers, attended North Idaho Meetup's meeting at George Gagnon's establishment in Hayden, Idaho. His gluten-free stock includes products I have never seen, except when we were on the East coast. He stocks Kinnikinnick products baked in their new GF building in Edmonton, Alberta...(I love their cake donuts !)..Canada has strict food labeling requirements.

Thanks to Jeanne Dickson, Meetup's organizer/leader, for designing our sign-in sheets. Please use care in signing your address & e-mail information.

Thanks to all of the members who bring gluten free goodies to share after the meeting.....(Melba's Mystery Macaroons will be among the goodies on the table)

We hope for a great turn out at this meeting, PLEASE join us....
