My daughter ate at the Cheesecake Factory last night...with no ill effects
noted so far. She ordered a Boston House salad without the croutons or blue
cheese (and used her own salad dressing) and a plain piece of grilled
salmon.

Here's a summary of the responses that I received from the Listserve:

1 person said that her local Cheesecake Factory can print a GF menu for
diners.

2 people noted that they had had negative experiences, either in getting the
waitstaff and kitchen to understand their requirements and in becoming ill.

Several suggested that I call ahead of time and speak to the manager. I did
this, and he took my name and phone number so that one of the kitchen
managers could call me back, but I never received a return phone call.

Some other menu items that were suggested to me:

nachos
plain chicken
Shepard's pie
Pad Tai noodles (question on whether or not the sauce is GF though)
spring rolls
grilled tuna
chicken sauteed in balsamic vinegar sauce
salads
beef patty with no bun
steamed rice and vegetables (with suggestion to request that they steam it
over a pot of clean water)

Someone also warned that the rice flour also contains wheat flour.

Hope this helps.
