Thanks to everyone who responded.

SUMMARY: Velveeta is GF in Canada.
Velveeta is NOT GF in USA

If you want more information, read on:

Other than two people responding who said they ate Velveeta without any
problems, the unanimous response was that VELVEETA IS NOT GLUTEN FREE in the
United States.

It appears that in Canada Velveeta is gluten free. Two people responded that
the Canadian Kraft gluten free list includes Velveeta and was confirmed as
recently as a week ago. You can verify this at: toll free # for Canada is

HOWEVER, the United State's gluten free list from Kraft does NOT include
Velveeta. As one responded:

"Kraft snail-mailed me a gluten-free list and Velveeta is NOT on the list. The
document is called "LIST OF KRAFT PRODUCTS THAT DO NOT CONTAIN SOURCES OF
GLUTEN".The only cheeses on their list is Kraft Natural Cheddar Cheese (Extra
Sharp, Sharp, Medium, Mild) (brick type)." Three other individuals advised
that their Kraft list in the U.S. did not include Velveeta as being gluten
free.

One person pointed out that the CSA/USA book states that Velveeta is NOT
gluten free.

Finally, numerous individuals wrote to say that they or their relatives
suffered after eating Velveeta.
