Here's a case of the shoe on the other foot, so to speak.

My husband was diagnosed with CD when he was 11 but had it for much
longer--probably since birth. As a precaution, when our daughter Celeste
was born two years ago in October, we decided to keep her on a GF diet
for a couple of years.

Then (thanks to this list) read up on HLA typing, psyched myself up for
taking Celeste for the blood work (no charge here in New Brunswick,
Canada)... we had her tested at the end of July and the test came back
negative for CD!

Great news, but here's the really ironic part: she doesn't like
"regular" food! She prefers her Kingsmill cookies to Mr. Christie ones,
would rather have "daddy's bread", and doesn't even want to look at
ordinary breakfast cereals. She'll come around eventually to what my
husband calls "the wheat life", in the meantime, he's enjoying a good
laugh about it.

Have a great week everybody.
