Thank you to everyone who replied to my posting. I was amazed that over 21
people replied. My daughter will soon be enjoying ice cream in a cone,
which is something she has really been wanting to try.

Here is the summary for the different brands and how many people recommended
them:
10 responses recommended "Let's do Gluten Free Ice Cream Cones" by Edward
and Sons. Cake cones. Carried by Whole Foods.
6 responses recommended Goldbaums (they have chocolate, sugar, cake & waffle
cones)
4 responses recommended Barkat Waffle cones, maybe others. Carried by Whole
Foods.
3 responses recommended home made...the responses contain some recipe links
1 response recommended Cerrone

Here are the individual responses in case you want to see the comments.

"Let's do Gluten Free Ice Cream Cones" by Edward and Sons.

The ones I like are called "Let's do Gluten Free Ice Cream Cones" Vegan
and gluten free, a product of Israel. I believe they are available at
Amazon.com They are I remember ice cream cones tasting, crispy and stay
crisp with ice cream in them. I haven't had one get soggy yet. They are
big enough to pack ice cream all the way to the bottom. Hope this works for
you. Carol

Check out Let's Do... cake cones. We've found they are better than
Barkat. Goldbaums are similar to Let's Do... but they contain corn. We
serve ice creme cones (ice creme made from coconut milk) in our bakeshop and
people really love the Let's Do.. cones. We also make our own waffle cones
but don't ship them. If you can't find any of these in your local store,
we have Let's Do... on our online store www.madwomanglutenfree.com

My daughter likes the Let's Do...Gluten Free Ice Cream Cones. By Edward &
Sons. They are called "cake style".
---
Sorry, I do not know the brand but Whole Foods carry them. I get them for
the grandkids - they love them. I cannot eat grains so I have not had them.

Last month I bought a case of GF sugar cones distributed by Edward & Sons.
They are called: LET'S DO...GLUTEN FREE SUGAR CONES. My family loves
them. The kids were very excited to be able to eat ice cream in a cone. I
bought them from United Natural Foods buying club. This month the GF cake
cones are on sale so I ordered a case of them. I have seen the Let's Do
cones for sale on online sites but can't remember where.
Regards,
Mary

I found them at Meijer grocery store.
---
we get regular cake cones from the natural foods warehouse in atlanta, ga
area.

Let's Do Gluten Free Ice Cream Cones. We can actually purchase them locally
in Grafton, WI but I did see that you can purchase online also.
---
We use these all the time. One can order them online, or a local store (like
Trader Joe's or Whole Foods Market or Henry's or health food with GF stuff)
can get them for you. You didn't mention where you are located, or I'd have
narrowed down local for you.

I currently have Let's Do Gluten-free Ice Cream cones in my pantry. The
website on the box is www.edwardandsons.com. I don't know where I bought
them. Probably at Whole Foods, Wegmans, or the healthfood section of the
local supermarket. I don't buy any specific brand. There are others. I just
get what's available.
---
Whole Foods has the aisle by the frozen foods.
---

Goldbaums
---
Godbaums is pretty common and they make a good cone at a reasonable price.
They are distributed by
Garden spot distributors and UNFI. Where you can get them will depend on
where you are from, as not all markets are national. UNFI is a national
distributor who may service your local markets and health food stores

The only ones I have found are made by an Israeli company called Goldbaums.
They are delicious!! I don't know what part of the country you are in but
here in NH I have found them at my local supermarket which is not known for
having a huge gluten free section, altho they are getting better.

They are now on special @ www.GlutenFreePalace.com
---
Right now! I'm looking @ Living Without magazine Aug/Sept 2010 issue.
There's a quick recommendation for Goldbaums.com page 10. GF cocoa,sugar,
cake and waffle cones.
---
Vitamin Cottage actually has the flat bottom cake cones and sugar cones. I
haven't seen GF waffle cones.

Barkat
---
I found the gf cake cones from Let's do Organics to be inedible, but many
people like them. I prefer sugar cones from Bakarat. You can order them at
glutenfreemall.com but they are sold at some health food stores.
---
I would recommend the waffle cones from Barkat. I bought them from a small
store in LI, New York, but you can probably order them online.
---
I get Barkat gf/wheat free waffle cones at Whole Foods. We live in Southern
CA.
Gina
---
Barkat made different varieties which are excellent and "Let's Do" makes
them also but I haven't tried them.
---

Cerrone
---
I love the Cerrone cones; so far they are the best sugar cone or any gf
cone. Our local grocery and health markets carry them.

Home Made
---
Don't know if this would interest you or not - I made my own with homemade
vanilla pizelles. As soon as I took them off the iron, I rolled them into a
cone shape. I store them in the freezer to keep them fresh.

Hope this helps.
