Catherine asked about her daughter's cold sores--
My holistic physician said that cold sores are caused by a lack of the
enzyme(?) lysine in the diet. You can either use a lysine-based cream
(don't know if this is GF), or 100% lysine capsules that you can find in
health food stores, vitamin shops, and some grocery/drug stores.

I had cold sores my whole lifetime until I recently started taking his
advice and using the lysine. Whenever I feel that "itch" coming on, I take
the lysine for a few days, and use the cream to keep my lips moist, and it
usually nips it in the bud. That stuff works!

Hope this helps--
Bobbi
