First Thank All of You who answered my questions. The information I received
makes me understand the disease more and more importantly do a more thorough
job researching my diet. To begin with I did not even know what "Gut" was.
Webster's dictionary says intestines. After reading several articles and
e-mails it seems lesions in the "gut" or in other words the intestines allow
food particles to escape into the blood stream. This may cause arthritis,
osteoporosis and I am sure you have read about other diseases associated with
celiac spru.

Also the Glutamine may be found at a health food store. Many, many
responders stated that the Glutamine healed the intestines at a much faster
rate than the normal 3 to 5 years and some stated it was beneficial to remain
on a one a day tablet for maintenance along with GF diet.

Again, thank you all for responding and I hope this cleared up some questions
as it did for me. Peggy in Indianapolis
