Hi! Thank you all for your responses. I greatly appreciate it. Basically this is the difference, as one of you put it:

"Gluten sensitivity - An adverse reaction that acts like an allergy ie., breathing difficulties, swelling, hives, etc. However, among patients it may mean any adverse reaction to gluten.

"Gluten intolerance - An adverse reaction to gluten that damages other parts of the body beside the villi. However among patients this term is often loosely used interchangeably with villi damage/celiac disease.

"Celiac disease - An adverse reaction to gluten that damages the villi.

"The terms are confusing because the damage was first found in the villi. (It's easier to observe than other tissues), so the terms were all used for villi damage for a while until researchers started to realize that the villi is just one place where damage may or may not happen. "

One person descirbed it as being on a spectrum. At one end is Gluten Sensitivity and the other end is CD. When you think about it there really is no difference because you still are eating gluten free.

Thank you again for all your replies. Sorry for the delay in getting this summary out.
