Pureology

1. Desert Essence Organics are GF..has a whole line of Gf products. I
have the same problem with products that have wheat in them.

2. I used to use Pureology, but it too gave me a very itchy scalp. I
switched to a gluten free brand Therm-something Organix. After a week,
no more itching.

3. Costco brand shampoo--large (of course!) purple bottle, marked
gluten free.

4. Along the lines of pureology with higher quality hair products, I
really love Brocato Vibracolor fade prevent shampoo and conditioner.
It's all I use and no wheat listed in the ingredients.

5. I have never used Pureology and stay away from any shampoos with
Wheat or Oats listed in the ingredient list as they irritate my scalp.
I use Aussie hair products, Suave, Johnson's baby shampoo with
lavender, and Neutrogena Clean Body Enhancing shampoos with no ill
effects.

6. I bought Pureology because it says GF right on the label. I have
had no problems with it but I only use the conditioner (not the
shampoo).

7. A very important fact. It goes for everything... Not just
gluten...If you don't want it IN, DON'T put it ON! This goes for any
hair or or skin products. If it's on the skin, it is absorbed into the
bloodstream in seconds. Your friend with the rashes and hives may just
be more sensitive and it is showing itself thru the rashes. Hope this
helps.
