What great results they were!!!We had approximately 340 walkers and raised
$30,800 with a few more checks coming in yet! The 3-1/2 mile walk along
the Mississippi River was spectacular!

We would like to especially thank Rich Gannon (Quarterback for the Oakland
Raiders) for helping to promote the walk through local media, signing
autographs and providing us with signed door prizes. Thanks also to Bill
Brown (former Minnesota Vikings football player) for signing autographs.
Thanks to Dr. David Ferenci, pediatric gastroenterologist, for helping
promote the walk as well.

Our local media (newspapers, radio and TV) did a great job of promoting the
walk!

Thanks also to the many business and companies who supplied us with gift
certificates, food & drink for the walk, and door prizes. They included
Kinnikinnick Foods; Mrs. Leepers Pasta; Pamela's Products; The Really
Great Food Company; Stokes Pharmacy; Van's International; Glutino; Rice
Innovations, Inc; Prima Provisions; Annie's Naturals; Gillian's Foods;
Gluten Solutions; Quinoa Corp.; Sylvan Border Farms; Gluten Free
Delights; El Peto Products; Gluten Free Pantry; Arrowhead Mills; Med-

Bayport, MN; Rainbow's End Bakery in St. Louis Park, MN; Scherer
Brothers Lumber Company; Bromley Printing; Minneapolis Park and
Recreation Board; Famous Dave's; Rainbow Foods; The Wedge Community
Coop; Sidney's; Pepsi; Lakewinds Coop; Party City; Holiday Station
Stores in Coon Rapids, MN; American Home Town, Super America, Cameo

all of Becker, MN; First Federal Bank of Big Lake, MN; and members from
our local support groups (Raising our Celiac Kids, Northland Support

Thanks again to everyone for making our first "Walk for Celiac Disease
Research" so successful!!!
