A few more interesting and informative additions to add to the summary of
h-pylori:

Please pass on www.austinscdfriends.com to these people. It's a GF website dedicated to
helping people to destroy the bad bacteria, replace it with good . . . All with natural
foods and with the goal of getting off meds.
Fabulous information here!!!

I must have missed the first posting on this topic. I have something to add.

I have been treating H. pylori since about Sept 06 with mastic gum. This, supposedly, works better than the antibiotics and other drugs that are often used. I take 2 capsules TID. I buy the Jarrow Formulas brand from www.vitacost.com because it is available through this company and it is the cheapest source as far as I know. Although this, in the long run, may be more expensive than a drug, I cannot afford the side affects to any of the drugs used. Besides the mastic gum is very soothing to my intestines, a much needed side-benefit.

I probably picked up the H. pylori along with the myriad of other micro-organisms during the 4 years that I had no stomach acid
