Just sharing for your information.

This is a good link on the neurological effects of gluten. A friend of mine is going gluten-free, with a diagnosis of "Chronic Daily Headache." She's still in the process of seeing if she has celiac, itself. Her bloodwork was negative, twice. She's going for biopsies in a couple of weeks. But whether or not she tests positive for celiac, she found when she was off gluten a few weeks ago (which may be why her bloodwork was negative), her headaches and relevant intestinal symptoms disappeared, for the first time in her life.

Docs put her back on gluten (oy vey!), so the biopsy at the end of the month (upper endoscopy and colonoscopy) will be more accurate...instead of her insides being healed. Only a day or so back on gluten, and she's terribly ill. This is going to be a rough month for her.

She's a genetic specialist. I'm sure she'll try the genetic testing, as well. It's all in the scheme of things, one step at a time.

It has taken her years to get to this point. For as long as I've known her, doctor's insisted she has IBS and CDH, and a "sensitive stomach",....but they kept refusing to consider celiac. Typical.
