Hi,
Does you son by any chance like rice cakes?  I like them with peanut
butter, egg salad, and tuna.  They aren't even too bad holding a hamburg.
I prefer the Quaker salted ones to the unsalted.  I also like them toasted
with margarine (not too practical for school lunches).  I've been a teacher
and have heated many a meal in the teacher's lounge.  If you contact the
school nurse and explain the situation, you may need a doctor's note, but
you should be able to get his meals heated.  This way you can send
"leftovers" which is what I ate when I was teaching.  I planned to cook a
little extra for dinner then took my lunch out first and put it in a
microwaveable dish and refrigerated it until the next day.  Fruit and
munchies can be added for variety.  Good luck with a little creativity,
your son will be the envy of the lunch table!
