Michelle wrote in about getting her celiac child to eat. He was
uninterested in food.

I have a 6 (almost 7) year old daughter who is not a celiac, but has
NEVER been a good eater. She takes nearly an hour and a half at each
meal. She'll never finish a meal. She eats one bowl of dry cereal over
3 days for breakfast--I just keep sticking the leftovers in a zip-lock
bag until it's gone.

I wouldn't worry too much unless your child is unhealthy or losing
weight. As long as he's happy and has energy to play, it's not such a
bad thing. Sure, it's frustrating. I've been putting up with that for
nearly 7 years.

But, as for any tips, if anyone has seen the movie Mermaids (starring
Cher) you'll remember that her character served all of her kids' meals
in bite sizes on toothpicks. I've tried that and it really does work
pretty well. I'd just make sure that your child is old enough to be
trusted with toothpicks!!

Good Luck!
