Healthy Gluten-Free Cooking Recipe Contest

 

Deadline: May 30, 2008

Theme: Healthy Gluten Free Cooking 

Eligibility: Anyone

Prizes: Cash and/or non-cash prizes will be awarded for each recipe
category for first, second, and third place winners. 

 

How to Enter: Submit your original recipe online or by US mail. All
recipes must be 100% gluten-free and include at least one of the
gluten-free products listed below. Each entry must be entered into one
of the Recipe Categories below.  No recipe can be entered into more than
one category. Entries should follow theme of contest - Healthy Gluten
Free Cooking. Enter as many recipes as you would like. There are no
entry fees.

 

Recipe Categories :

1.	Use of Gifts of Nature Old Fashioned Rolled Oats as a major
ingredient 
2.	Use of any Salba product 
3.	Use of La Tortilla Factory teff tortillas 
4.	Use of Amazing Grains Montina(r) products as a major ingredient

Rules Overview:

1.	Entries must be in English with the following  information:

A. Your name, mailing and email addresses, and phone number. Place this
information at the top of the recipe.

B. Recipe must use standard U.S. weights/measures and include a complete
list of ingredients, complete preparation directions, pan sizes, cooking
times and temperature, and yield. 

2.	Entries must be received by May 30, 2008. Sponsors are not
responsible for lost or misdirected recipes.
3.	Recipes may be disqualified if judges cannot read handwriting. 
4.	Recipes will be judged on the basis of taste/texture, visual
presentation/appearance and originality.
5.	The decision of the judges is final in all aspects of this
contest. 
6.	Any local, state or federal taxes for prizes are the
responsibility of winners. 
7.	The contest may be cancelled without penalty should it be deemed
necessary. 

 

  Official Contest Rules: 

1)     Awards: Contest organizer reserves the right to substitute prizes
of equal value for those listed above. In the event that no qualifying
recipes are selected as finalists, the prize(s) will not be awarded.
All contest prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash.  This
contest is void where prohibited or otherwise regulated. All federal,
state and local laws apply.

Recipe must be original, never have been previously published, be
entirely gluten-free, and include at least one of the gluten-free
products described above.   

2)     To enter, email your recipe to [log in to unmask]

to: Recipe Contest c/o Gluten Intolerance Group, 31214 124th Ave. SE,
Auburn, WA 98092-3667. All entries must be received by 4 pm PDT, May 30,
2008. If you use postal mail, allow time for entry to reach GIG by 4 pm
PDT, May 30, 2008. You may enter as many recipes as you like. A separate
entry form must accompany each recipe. Entries must be original and not
previously published. Recipe must be legibly printed or typed and
include your name, address, phone number, recipe name, gluten-free
product(s) used in recipe, list of ingredients with their exact
quantities in the order they are used. Specific directions (in paragraph
form) must include cookware size (pot, pan or dish), prep time
(including marinating), cooking time (including slow cooker times) and
temperature. Number of servings must follow list of ingredients.
Incomplete or illegible entries will be disqualified. DO NOT send food.
All recipes become property of Gluten Intolerance Group of North America
and the sponsoring companies, and will not be returned. By entering this
contest, Gluten Intolerance Group of North America and sponsors have the
right to edit and publish the recipe, with credit, in Gluten Intolerance
Group publications, products, and online services and those of its
affiliates, and/or through the sponsors media sources. All entries must
be received by May 30, 2008. Each entry should be submitted only once.
Contest sponsors are not responsible for any changes or effects caused
to the entrant's computer system as a result of submitting electronic
entries.

3)     Gluten Intolerance Group of North America(r) reserves the right
at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers or
attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the
contest or website; violates the Official Rules; or acts in an
unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner at any time during the Contest, or
with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. By
submitting your recipe, you accept all contest rules and agree to be
bound by the decisions of the judges, which will be final. You also
agree that your recipe(s) becomes the sole property of Gluten
Intolerance Group of North America(r), and Gluten Intolerance Group of
North America(r) reserves the right to edit, adapt, copyright, publish,
transfer and use any or all of them, without compensation.

4)     Notifying the Winners - Winners will be announced at the 2008
Gluten Intolerance Group of North America(r)  Annual Education
Conference on June 6th in Irving, Texas.  Winners not in attendance will
be notified and do not need to be present to win.  

5)     Misc.: Gluten Intolerance Group of North America(r) is not
responsible for misdirected or delayed mail, lost or late entries or for
electronic transmission errors resulting in omission, interruption,
deletion, defect or delay in operations or transmission, theft,
destruction, unauthorized access to or alteration of entry materials, or
for malfunctions or limitations of any kind. If for any reason the
Internet entry portion of the contest is not capable of running as
planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering,
unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other
causes beyond the control of Gluten Intolerance Group of North
America(r) which affect the administration, security, fairness,
integrity, or proper conduct of this Contest, Gluten Intolerance Group
of North America(r) reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel,
terminate, modify or suspend the Contest. Gluten Intolerance Group of
North America(r) reserves the right to select winners from eligible
entries received as of the termination date.
