Hi Everyone,
Rich Gannon, quarterback for the Oakland Raiders, is
to be commended for helping to bring awareness to
Celiac Disease. Monday, on CBS news at 5:00 pm, there
was a segment on this. Rich Gannon has a 3 year-old
daughter with Celiac Disease and he spoke about it.
Also, a doctor from the University of Maryland spoke
and said that a cure could be on the horizon. He said
it wouldn't necessarily be in the form of a shot but
could be something to help the intestines more easily
digest gluten. It sure gave me hope! Many thanks to
Rich Gannon, The University of Maryland, and CBS for
airing this. Hopefully more publicity and awareness
will follow!
