I wanted to share with you all a wonderful gift I received today from my daughter.

There are many books about celiac disease on the market with the more marketed one recently by Elizabeth Hasselbeck. I found a delightful new book written not by a celebrity, a doctor or a nutritionist, but written by the wife of a man who was diagnosed with celiac disease three years ago (I think). It is filled with ideas & hints for a GF pantry, GF companies, dining out, places to travel GF, and so much more.

Not only did I enjoy the book and all it had to offer, but I received a large amount of GF food samples, some that I have not heard of before and literature about products. There were waffles, spaghetti, various nutrition bars, chips, gum, lollipops, cookies, pancakes, bread and I just can’t remember what else. My daughter said she only spent $15.00 for the book and the coupons, discounts and samples I received paid for that and then some. It is comforting to read a book who really understands and who wrote it in layman’s terms.

I have no investment in this book, but feel it should be mentioned to everyone. This book and samples would make a great gift for gluten free friends and family. Support group leaders should consider purchasing for their group libraries. My daughter says she heard this author give a presentation recently and purchased the book soon after through her website www.CeliacResourceGuide.webs.com. She also found the book on www.amazon.com. The book is called Celiac Resource Guide, Helping to Navigate Life's Detour by Julianne Karow.

Happy Holidays to everyone!
Nancy
