I was really surprised at the responses the person got that asked for safe
places to eat in Fort Worth! I appreciate the summary, but I hope nobody
takes some of the advice that was given. I live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area
and If you have Celiac disease, we all know that it is much more complicated
than "just don't eat anything with gravy or breading." I think that is a
completely negligent response to someone looking for safe suggestions. If you're
not sure of places to go and have not checked them out personally then I
don't think you should make any recommendations. Also, all restaurants are
different. I don't think you can just say that "Texas BBQ is safe" as a blanket
statement. Some places may season the meat -- we just don't know without
checking. We need to be extremely careful when advising other celiacs.
