For those of you who read the Syracuse/CNY/Upstate NY post, this is the same
one under a diff title...

Hello!

I'm a broadcast journalism graduate student @ Syracuse University. As a
'capstone project' at the end our year-long program, we research & produce a
'TV news-magazine' type piece-think more in-depth stories like you might see
on Dateline-NBC. There is a possibility that the piece may are on
local/regional television in September.

My partner & I would like to do our story on Celiac disease.
Background, statistics, and general info on the disease & diet are no
problem. (I follow a more or less GF-diet...I have been biopsied for CD
(by Dr. Green), but it was negative, but clearly have probs w/wheat,
etc.) The one catch-we need to make it relevant to our local market.
What that translates to is finding a family or person, preferably in
Central New York, perhaps upstate, or in eastern NY, who would be
amenable to interviews on camera-perhaps more than one, and hopefully
let us into his/their home to get footage of food preparation, how this
affects the rest of the household, etc. Syracuse would be great, but
Rochester, Buffalo, Albany, Utica...all those would also be relevant.

If you, or someone you know, fits this description, please let me know! I
would love to do this story!

Thanks,
Jane in Syracuse
