NBC Today's Show to air a program on Celiac Disease, Friday, August 15,
2003.

Shelley Case, RD and author of Gluten-Free Diet: A Comprehensive Resource
Guide will appear live on the NBC Today Show, Friday, August 15, 2003.
Celiac Disease, an under-diagnosed disease in the USA, may affect as many as
1:133 people. Through the efforts of Dr. Alessio Fasano and Pam King from
the Center for Celiac Research, University of Maryland, celiac disease gets
national attention. Andrea Levario from the American Celiac Task Force, Dr.
Fasano and patients were interviewed
for this program. As well, Shelley Case will discuss the challenges with the
gluten-free diet.
