On Saturday, October 6th, 2001 a complimentary community screening will
be conducted at the City Park in Columbia, MS. This event, which entails
blood drawing, is being sponsored by the Center for Celiac Research at
the University of Maryland, MS R.O.C.K. (Raising Our Celiac Kids)
Support Group and the United Blood Services.

This community-screening event is intended for undiagnosed Celiacs and
those who experience chronic gastrointestinal symptoms as well as
persons who have any autoimmune diseases or any related disorders.
Relatives of known Celiacs also are urged to participate because of
celiac disease is known to be genetic.
