Someone erroniously said:

PICA is:

"An abnornal craving to consume things which are not suitable for food such
as paint or clay."

(Webster's New World Dictionary Third College Edition, 1998)

[this would also include chalk or dirt]

While PICA is an abnormal craving, it is not an abnormal craving for foods.
(Even if it is excessive craving for empty carbohydrates)
