Free Health Screenings at GIG Health & Wellness Event June 16th, 2012

There will be an abundance of exciting activities to take part in at the GIG
Health and Wellness Experience on June 16, 2012. In between cooking
demonstrations, yoga instruction and informative lectures, there will be
free advanced health screenings offered! The preventative screenings will
provide tests in a multitude of areas such as bone density, body mass index,
cholesterol, and diabetes risk. The tests will focus on major health issues
present in today's society, many of which can be silent and symptom free -
therefore often go undiagnosed. Through this portion of the Health and
Wellness Experience, GIG's mission is to provide important health
information to anyone who wishes to participate, and to raise public
awareness on these critical health issues. A health screening can often
identify serious risks and aid in disease prevention; the screening is a
brief process that provides accurate and immediate results. Explanations of
results will be provided and individuals are encouraged to share results
with their personal physician. 

 

Routine screenings are essential to living a healthy life and that's why GIG
has put such a strong focus on screenings for this year's educational
wellness event. If you are concerned about the possible health risks you may
have, take a brief moment out of your summer day and stop by the GIG Health
and Wellness Experience to receive a free health screening. Think of this as
an opportunity to gain information and knowledge on your own health; after
all, what could be more important.
