Referring to the mild discomfort described by the truly touched diet-sinner,
I can only add that I remember well occasions where consumption of
'forbidden' food, i.e. once half a baguette (spelling?), didn't lead to
any noticeable symptoms.  But the other occasions, where consumptions of
only little amounts of gluten led to major classical symptoms far
outweighed the good ones in my experience, so that I lost any craving for
gluten-containing food during childhood and adolescence (a process of
approximately 10-20 years, alas).
