As I figured, the gluten allergies will not show up on allergy testing
if one has CD. Some people may be allergic AND have CD but usually
that is not the case. The majority of the people responded that between
allergies and CD there are different immunoglobulins which are
affected. In allergies it is an IgE response where as in CD it is a IgA
and maybe a IgG response. I was just trying to get some information to
possibly pass onto my son's classmate's parents concerning CD since the
girl told my son that she had allergies to wheat, rye, barley, eggs,
dairy and soy. They just did allergy testing and I was wondering if
there was a need to go farther. We never went the allergy path so I had
no idea if CD also shows up through allergy testing.

Thank you for your responses.
Michele
