My sis-in-law recently told me, upon her son's allergy tests coming
back, that the allergist told her that her son had an allergy to whole
wheat. Eating whole wheat, she was told, causes him to have a stuffy
nose, sinus congestion, etc. The allergist advised her to test it by
taking him off whole wheat products (i.e., white bread being OK, not
whole wheat bread) (!!)

Now .... my son (his first cousin) has celiac disease ... the only
occurrence we can find in either of our families. It was my
understanding that wheat is wheat. Will it do any good for her to only
give him processed wheat products? Sounds a little strange to me, but I
don't have enought info to give her an opinion. Anyone know any more
about this?

Thanks! Deborrah in IL
