Thank you for all your responses. Here is what ya'll told me and what I
learned:

Most everybody recommended that I call the Kroger 800#. As most of you
told me, Kroger is very friendly and a big help. I talked to a
dietition (sp?)on the phone, and she answered all my questions. I'm
going to keep this in mind and will not hesitate to call again. The #
is 1 800 632 6900, and you can call anytime between 8am and 9pm.

I learned that all plain, one ingredient spices are gluten free,
including the Private Selection label. I also learned that Kroger's
Pure Vanilla Extract is also gluten free.

I was also told that McCormicks Pure Vanilla and Durkee brand are gluten
free as well.

One other suggestion was to try the vanilla powder from health food
stores.

Hope this helps,
Alyssa
