hello!

i was first diagnosed with celiac 5 months ago with a biopsy. since my
symptoms haven't improved at all, they did another biopsy today...the
doctor found that my villi (?) is totally healed, there is no flattening
at all!!! so that is a good sign!!! it seems the gluten free diet is a
good thing! as you've probably read, my ferritin is very low (10) but my
hemoglobin is high (147). the doctor told me today not to worry about
the low iron because my hemoglobin is high. i'm not sure i understand
why...i am still very exhausted (due to lack of iron), my insides are
all healed but my iron is still going down.... any thoughts??? next
steps??? delia kang ottawa, ontario
