Hi

Well haven't posted for a while but been reading all the interesting posts.

As there are a few diabetics that are also Celiac, I am wondering about this latest fad to hit Australia. Many friends I know are on the Glycemic Index diet. Which from what I read on the internet is a diet that a lot of Diabetics follow. It measures the sugar level in foods. It seem to be a low carbohydrate diet and also seems to recommend low wheat. My question is Is this diet compatible with Gluten Free eating? Can anyone fill me in on it benefits, one I know about is loss of weight and stops bloating which my husband (non celiac) gets a lot? (I told him to go GF that's stops the bloating). Also can I get information about this on the web and the diet, or must I buy another book?

Thanks in advance for your replies and will summarrise if there is interest.

Christina
