Hi Listmates,

I just talked to a Costco representative who contacted the manufacturer
about Kirkland Signature brand Vanilla ice cream in the 1 gal. bucket.
Good news! It IS G-F. The pure vanilla does not contain gluten in any
form. Happy eating.

Also - I was in a 50 mile bike ride on Sat. and got samples of Hammer Gel
(Rapid Energy Athletic Fuel)in my packet. The ingredients say Natural Grain
Dextrins, so I didn't use it. I just noticed it says WHEAT and GLUTEN FREE.
Called the rep. and he said all flavors + plain are Gluten Free and No Soy!
It contains NO simple sugars, so no sugar spikes and G.I. distress. This
is good for cycling, backpacking, etc. where exertion is sustained.
Just mix it with 4-8 oz of water and have peak energy for 45-60 min.
In Spokane, WA. it's sold at Two-Wheel Transit @ 1405 W. 1st Ave.
Hammer Gel is produced by EMG,LP in Whitefish, MT. 1-800-336-1977.
Web page with G-F status is www.hammergel.com.
