Here is a summary of the responses received on recommendations for a mixer strong enough to handle the GF dough:

      Kithcen-Aid - 32 (several recommended the Preofessional Model)
            www.shopkitchenaid.com has an outlet store with discontinued models that are less expensive and still carry the full warranty on them.
      Sunbeam - 3 (contaceted Sunbeam and 1 rep said their "heritage" series will handle the GF dough and another rep said that their mixers cannot handle GF dough)
