Does anyone have any idea whether Plaster of Paris is GF?

I haven't been able to find any information on this (have been searching
archives and such).

I know some people aren't concerned about things touching skin (and some
are), but this is for a project at school for my son (who sucks his
thumb) so it's very important that I know.

Also, if you know that it's not safe, what might be a safe
alternative????

Thanks so much in advance!

Andrea
