Hi all,

After being diagnosed with Celiac’s Disease in 2013 and then cancer last year, I really got to feeling a bit isolated. After starting to look around for things we gluten free (GF) types can do together for fun and to support each other at the same time. I learned about www.meetup.com web site.

So I started a Gluten Free group for my city. I see many other ones out there. To me sometimes we need local support, like issues with finding local doctors and restaurants, but also about having fun together too.

I'm trying to start a Bunco League hear in Northern Brevard County Florida, for those that are gluten free or are a care giver for someone who is. It just takes 12 members to make a league and each month a different member will hostess the Bunco party and we'll share some Gluten Free food. So by restricting the members we hope everyone can eat safely while we have fun and support each other too.

Just wanted to recommend the members check out the web site and see if they have a Gluten Free or Celiac Support group near them. It costs about $10 a month for someone to create a group on meetup website.

I hope this suggestions helps at least one of us become less isolated!
