Hello Listmembers,

I found out recently that Mission Brand products are available in every
state in the union except Illinois, Alaska, and Hawaii. Since I live in
Illinois, a quest began for a GF corn tortilla.

I received a reply from Barb Riegler at [log in to unmask]
yesterday that stated that their corn tortillas are made from corn, lime
and some preservatives but no wheat, oats, rye or barley. They are also
made on a separate line which is used exclusively for corn tortillas.
Their flour tortillas are made in the same building, but they do not
come in direct contact with the corn tortilla equipment at all.

Azteca products are available at our local Eagles Country Market in
Illinois. I am not sure what other supermarkets carry their products.

I hope this helps those of you who live in Illinois and can't find
Mission brand GF tortillas.

Happy and healthy GF eating to you all,

Barbara in Illinois
